One little habit I absolutely love is keeping a running gift list in my phone. Every year I refresh it, and it’s purely dedicated to gift ideas for family and friends.
Whenever someone mentions something they love, or something they wish they had, I quietly pop it straight into my notes. You can never have too many gift ideas tucked away for later.
The same goes for when I see something lovely pop up on Book Face or Insta. If it catches my eye, straight into the notes it goes.
So what do we have to look forward to next?
Of course we have Easter first, and who doesn’t love lounging around comfortably over Easter. Fresh air, chocolate, family, and that relaxed feeling in the air.
But I’ll be honest, I also start looking just a little bit beyond Easter… because Mother’s Day isn’t really that far away.
Sometimes I scroll through my little list of gift ideas and wonder which one I might choose this year.
And ladies, please remember something important.
Your gift list can be for you too.
Many of you reading this are mums yourselves, and there is absolutely nothing wrong with sending a little “hint” to the kids or your partner about something you love.
Let’s be honest… the kids appreciate the help, and we might just receive something we’ve had our eye on, along with beautiful Mother’s Day cards and hugs from the most precious people in our lives.
So here’s my suggestion.
Add the nightie to your list.
Maybe it’s a soft cotton nightie, a beautiful nightgown, or a cosy pair of slippers you’ve been dreaming about.
Add it to your notes.
Send the link to the kids or your husband.
If a nightie is what you truly want for Mother’s Day, I hope a nightie is exactly what you receive.
Because not only will you be wonderfully comfortable on Mother’s Day itself, but for many, many nights (and mornings with a cup of tea) to come.
And between you and me, every time someone chooses a nightie from The Nightie Shop, it makes this mum — and very happy small business owner — do a BIG happy dance.
And kids, if you happen to be reading this…
Yes, we have gift wrapping.
And yes, I would absolutely love to write your mum a beautiful card.
Lots of love always,
Moira
